Because of Beth

"I'm the only one left who actually knows, who remembers everything about you..."

- Cara

In the aftermath of Beth's death, all those she loved, including her feuding daughters, her estranged ex-husband and her overwhelmed fiancé, seek to mourn her in their own way. Instead, however, they are forced to deal with one another and the complicated ties that bind them together because of Beth.

Audience responses to performances

"I thought Cara's journey was compelling and believable....Though everyone changes in this play, she's the one who changes the most. Essentially, this play is about when she grows up, and that's something fascinating to watch."
-James Armstrong

"It was an engrossing, intense and wonderful play - so beautifully written!"
-Andy Cohn

"It's moving, engaging, and poignant. The performances were terrific."
